The Dhaulagiri Trekking circuit
The Dhaulagiri Trekking circuit is one of the most difficult, adventurous and very interesting treks. This trek is wilder, more distant and fast paced. It requires good trekking experience and good physical condition. There are villages and valleys at base altitude.
The Tour du Dhaulagiri route passes through dense forest of rhododendron, oak, deciduous trees and juniper. The road crosses Myagdi Glacier, Dhaulagiri Base Camp, French pass to hidden snow valley and then Thapa or Dhampus pass towards Jomsom and Muktinath. Another attraction is the Thapa / Dhampus summit expedition. The Kali Gandaki Gorge (deepest in the world) which separates the rows of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. The landscapes of this route are the massive Dhaulagiris and Annapurnas.
